BUDGERIGAR

Australian Native Fauna and Flora Range

The budgerigar is a colourful parrot native to Australia. Its plumage is bright yellow and green, with a blue cheek and black scalloping on its wing feathers.

You may know them as 'Budgies', but do you know that the common name is derived form a Gamilaraay Aboriginal language name 'Betcherrygah', which is thought to mean 'good food'? It's unknown whether this means that the bird itself is good eating, or whether their seed-seeking migrations led Gamilaraay to places of rainfall & abundant food.

Our range of Australian Native Fauna and Flora illustrations are now available as beautiful 20cm x 20cm art prints.

Designed and printed in Perth, Western Australia onto 100% earth friendly paper stocks, using vegetable based inks. All of our art prints are individually hand signed and titled.

Art prints are packaged in a sealed recyclable cello pocket, with a thick 100% recycled box board backing and a certificate of authentication.
